Hiya! I’m coming in to this late, so forgive me if I repeat what others have said.
So the whole room is important? A nexus (of what I won’t say, as I read the 2/27 blog page first, then came back to the beginning, and don’t want to spoil anything for new readers)?
At the time I posted that page, it wasn’t yet known that it was where Charlie typically commits suicide, as most worlds turn out the same way. It is a nexus, in the sense that it is where things happen, but it is not a magical apartment or anything… Though we will see it an awful lot over the course of the series… That’s what the Chekov thing meant. You see this room, someone is likely to commit suicide before their fourth act is finished…
‘Kay, so I heard about this comic the other day on that Erik Larson thread on CBR, thought it looked interesting, but decided to jump in at the begining and let the story unfold…

Seriously though, this looks very nice indeeed, I’ll check in in about 70 pages to tell you how much I’ve enjoyed it…
