WOW. My first thought upon reading today’s installment was that I should post, “Yes. Yes you will.” Then I read your comment and was directed to the title of this page.
Looking at all those Charlies has got me thinking: If I were the Nerd, I would try to collect as much biographical information as possible on all the different Charlies, then find a way to numerically codify into a database. After that, I would run a multivariate regression analysis or something on that data, to try to find correlations between different experiences (i.e., “Charlies who experienced X were more likely to experience Y”). Basically, find a quantitative analysis that could answer the question “What does it mean to be Charlie Everett?”
And if you think my answer to “If I were the Nerd, I would…” is interesting, you should hear what I come up with when I ask myself what I would do if I were the Dark Everett.
Beyond just figuring out Charlie Everett it would provide the best chance in history to statistically study the effects of any number of things on a person’s social/emotional/physical development. It’s the kind of sampling opportunity that society just doesn’t provide (legally).
I think it would be damned incredibly in terms of the nature vs. nurture debate, which is one of the reasons I’m very pointedly avoiding a definitive X causes Y kind of pronouncement.
Hank has made the official “massive understatement” of 2012 🙂
And of course NOW I notice the title LOL

@_@ What even is happening here…? Is Hank storing the Charlies?!
Bingo.
*Cue epic-sounding background music*

I love it when you speak Nerd, love <3
Now I want to know what you think of when you ask yourself what you would do if you were Dark Everett. :3

This is going to be an interesting conversation with his parents…
