Thanks to all the wonderful people we met at Emerald City! It was a blast, and we look forward to seeing you all next year, with Cura: Year Two!

Today, Monkeybrain, a fine digital imprint, released a zero issue preview of Frost, a new comic from Eric Trautmann, Brandon Jerwa, and artist Giovanni Timpano.
CBR has a nice interview up which gives a good general gist of the piece, which you can download for free, and I can vouche from a personal reading that this book is in fine line with the quality set forth in Shooters, which you might recall me recommending earlier last year.
At a buck it’s going to be a steal that will help some fine work get recognition it deserves… Go! Give it a shot!
Hey, folks!
First off, congrats to Dex on ANOTHER write up for Swerve, another book that recently came out. Ain’t It Cool News had some kind words…
For those of you who want to catch Cura at the Emerald City Comic-Con, I shall be there, in Artist’s Alley, D-12, with the incomparable Greg Rucka and other cool folks!
And hey… hey you guys… Rebecca Hicks of Little Vampires and Alina Pete of Weregeek will be there too. It’s gonna be RAD. Be there, or be killed by the Dark Everett square.
Hey, folks!
We thank you for your patience with out break. It’s been good for many reasons… we’ve been able to rebuild the buffer, which helps with sanity, we’ve been able to plot for the Kickstarter, which is even better, and thanks to all who have helped out in that regard! Regular updates will resume on Monday. We hope to see you there!
In other news, Dex’s work has been brewing up a little storm of work in the last few days! Swerve, one of his awesome other projects, has been featured on multiple sites, including Slam! Sports, Geeks of Doom, Comic Bastards, We Talk Wrestling, and Paradox Comics Group. If you don’t trust me about the book, as I am actively biased to love Dex’s work, feel free to take their word!
Okay! So! Updates will resume (tentatively, he said, leaving room for wiggle) on February 18th. We will continue posting sketches, previews, and blog posts on the regular schedule until then.
We thank you for your patience… this will help us get Cura on a solid footing for much, much more story and a stable Kickstarter. Which, by the way, if you haven’t chipped your ideas in on, please do, on the post below this one!
