1) (From the “Duh” folder:) There are threads being laid here that will be picked up at some point in the future and we’ll all go “Oh, that’s what that was about!”, correct?
2) Is there a real “Charlie Everett” (not real name of course) that Dex uses for visual reference, especially lately with the Charlie Cue-Ball splash page a few ago?
3) That’s a lot of Charlies, ain’t it? (Not as many as there were at HQ, but I digress…)
4) I hope we get a further insight into this particular exchange, as it seems like they’re leaving Squirt somewhere they deem safe, and since a new AU hasn’t come to be yet (or we haven’t actually assessed the true damage to the full AU yet 😉 ), I am worried for his future (you know what I mean LOL)
1) Depends on the thread you mention. If you mean the fact that Squirt is an obvious logistical liability, and yet family? Yes. If you mean that Squirt randomly disappeared and reappeared in a flaming apartment? Also yes. If you mean a bunch of Charlies having to share a small, random apartment, triple yes. If you mean anything else, not sure, depends.
2) You’d have to ask Dex, but I consider Charlie Prime the “real” Charlie, as the voice of the story. Which is not to denigrate the others.
3) It’s about 5-10. Headquarters had about fifty… and those were the ones who weren’t on assignment. These guys are all noobs.
4) They’re not leaving Squirt, but they’ve decided that he can’t go with them everywhere, now that they’ve actively decided to rebuild. Don’t worry, Squirt’s not gone from the narrative by a longshot, and won’t be.
2) OK, Dex, is there a real (world) person whom is used for visual reference for CP? As you have had to draw him as a child (Squirt) and a female (Charlene) and yet I do see the relative-ness, if I’m making myself clear enough about it 🙂
(btw, that was what I originally meant by the question, but your answer, Lord Baileymmort, suffices in another way as well 😉 )
4) Never thought Squirt was out of the story, just that we were going to have enough time to miss him before he does reappear, but I do see the “maternal”-ness of Char there, so it is there, just shielded well (we discussed this at length elsewhen LOL), and if the Undertaker still has a tale to tell, nobody, alive or dead I guess, is completely absent from the narrative (elsewhy DE killed Leo elsewhen that might not even exist in the paradoxi enfolding as we breathe, though not storyline for maybe another 6 months LOL)
Oh, man, I hate it when the peyote starts to wear off, bye now LOL
Neal just gave me a description of what Charlie Prime would look like and it just evolve from the first sketch to the ongoing pages. I don’t have any visual reference, it’s all from a collective experience of drawing and reading comics through the years. I just follow what Neal would write and start from there. 😉
Well, ok then…I guess I have to tip my hat at Lord Baileymort for being descriptive enough to fabricate a completely unique individual from whole cloth, more or less LOL and for you to be able to translate that to a fully formed individual(s), bravo!

Well, if nobody else is gonna say it, I will: That is one happy dog
