Three Charlies in the same time interval?

Three Charlies in the same universe happens when our main group goes wanderin’. This would MUCH more fascinating if it WASN’T a Charlie. Just sayin’. Also, why would they knock? They know he’s on the verge of committing suicide in there. But it probably is another Charlie. Maybe DE. I’m really curious where he figures in this tale.

I almost just gave it away, heh. I wrote: _______ is knocking to… and then I realized you don’t have the next page… heh.

It’s hard being on this side of the wall sometimes… but to be sure, you’ll understand on Monday, in a big way.

I’m wondering if Andrus pulled himself out of the suicide because he didn’t really want to die, OR, was he saved by an external force?

A little of A, a little of B, honestly. That’ll be explored in the next few weeks.

Say, in that last panel, is “through” supposed to be “though”?

No, I think it is ‘through’ because we are seeing the same set of events, just from Andrus’ perspective behind the blind hiding form himself, but that no one knocked when he first went for the gun in the fridge…Or at least that’s my take, and I’m sure Lord BaileyMort would concur 🙂

It is indeed “through.” Not a typo. It is indeed implying he’s experiencing the exact same events a second time. 🙂

Phew! I thought there was a typo that made it live there, for a minute.

So did someone interrupt Andrus the first time or not? If someone did, then I either missed it, or this is the first time we’re being told. And then I can understand how the word “through” could indicate that events manage to go ‘through’ to complete their sequence.

But if this knocking thing is something that deviates from the previous sequence (which seems to be what Punx wrote, and also what I thought/assumed), then I don’t see how it wouldn’t be “though”, as in a slight contradiction. As a “however”.

But English isn’t my first language, so maybe I just don’t know all the proper uses for the word “through”. In this case I assume that it means “as well”, kind of.

If I may ask, where do you hail from? Up to the moment you mentioned it, I would not have suspected as such…your English, to me, was just fine 🙂

I do expect that this is going to be one of the more interesting sidetrips we’ve made from the main narrative in a while (still assessing the whole N(S)FW arc as to just how to process it LOL) plus it does bring one of the more anachronistic Charlies to the front of the stage (the other being the Undertaker, who we’ve also been promised a return from/to…unless this Andrus trip will also touch upon him as well….Lord BaileyMort, non-spoilery statement if possible? 😉 )

I agree with my alt-wife/possible cuckolder Kate LOL that a few of these Friday to Monday stretches just feel longer….and yes I am aware its three days instead of two, so yes, it is actually longer, but you know what I mean! 😉

No Undertaker in this Andrus story… Though soon.

I’m from Sweden, where it’s mandatory to learn English in elementary school. And then we pile a lot of American and British TV on top of that, though I didn’t become fluent until I spent a lot of time actually using the language when playing MUDs.

My English is a mix between the mostly British English that I learned in school, and American English which is what I mostly come across. And I didn’t really realise that until Opera’s spellchecker started correcting me depending on which version of English it was set to check.

Ah! Now I undstand the confusion! Yes, it is “This time through [the sequence of events, there is] an interruption.

Hey, bud… I understand the conclusion, it is pretty complex.

Basically, Andrus went through the suicide paces (which almost every Charlie does, in pretty much this way) once, and then when he pulled the trigger, a portal opened, and he found himself back in his bedroom, in the slight past.

He doesn’t know this yet, but we do, by virtue of DE narrating. Thus the DE knows, and confirms to us here, that he is in his own past, reliving it, and this time something has coincidentally changed from before… Which will be revealed Monday.

It may help to hear it like this: And then, more coincidence. This time through, an interruption.

Well, it looks as we’re all on the same page when it comes to what is actually going on. So that just means that I still don’t understand how the word “through” is used. Is it something like “this time (when Andrus goes) through (the sequence of events)”?

Hey, random thought that would’ve been more relevant a year ago: What if Charlie opens a portal on a plane…to another plane?

    Eh?

You’ll see what happens when a portal opens on a plane, I can say that much…
