I can say that (I think in two pages, as I recall) all of those questions will be answered, save one, which I think I can meta-game and say:
There will be no radiation sickness here, because the DE left Hank’s farm and its surrounding area free from nuclear attack. Plus it’s pretty suitably remote.
That’s not to say, et-hem, that radiation sickness will never be a factor. Just not YET. 😉
And hey, thanks as ever for commenting in such an insightful and consistent way. It’s really cool!
Vancouver was great! I got to hang with my bud Brandon Jerwa, they kept me loaded on caffeine, and there was an after party that went late… good times!
Tam’s Odyssey Comics is always a blast. They treat their guests really well, and the shop is quite cool.
Plus, he’s one of the few shops goodly enough to carry the book. I hope to expand that soon, but as of right now, there’s Odyssey, and Floating World in Portland, and that’s it, so far!
Another thought… We saw the aftermath of EC’s attack on HQ and they talked about finding more Charlie’s to replenish the ranks. We know that EC plans to kill all the Charlies then kill himself last.
If the multi-verse, or parallel dimensions, hold true to form, every decision made by every character splits off another universe, which is made up of the results of having made a different decision, therefore, more Charlies are being created every nanosecond of the story, making it completely impossible to kill off every Charlie. Another paradox…
My brain hurts. I feel like I’m taking crazy pills!
Charlene: “Fuck ‘safe,’ I’m taking that Hummer down!”
<3 LOL You just have such a way with words, my dear 😉
Honestly, though, that had me laughing my head off, Kate. Bravo (as usual)! 🙂
Oh man. They are going somewhere WEIRD.
Sir, you have no idea. Heh.
And yes. 🙂
OH! At first, I thought she’d been shot, and that was why she’s falling backward. I didn’t see the hand pulling her through the portal at first.
Justin, I thought the exact same thing. There’s just so much going on all at once.
Is anyone else wondering what is going on with the new Charlies they left back at the apartment? I wonder if anyone left a note:
“Hey new Charlies,
Went to rescue that dumbass Leo.
Be back later,
Charlene.
PS. Here’s $50 for pizza. Don’t forget to walk the dogs.
PPS. Could someone go ahead and Google how to treat radiation sickness? That might come in handy. Thanks.”
PPPS Don’t drink my beah!
Hah!

Thanks. I can’t help it–Cura has totally drawn me in.
BTW, how was that comic-signing shindig in Vancouver the other day?

It’s both sad and awesome. Now whenever I see anything about radiation sickness I think of John Crichton.
I also want to hear tales of Vancouver.
