What DE needs is an evil Nerd to construct a rigorous scientific experiment to determine how to kill Andrus.

Not that this isn’t a rational idea, but I think that that mirror-image deal between the two groups would be there if Lord BaileyMort thought it would not be corny, to put it nicely 😉 I think that if you’re looking for parallels, Weapons Everett’s mirror image must be Charlene, if we go by your other position, Andrus and Squirt…CP/DE…As we now see, what causes a Charlie to go one way or the other is not so much a black and white decision, but fifty shades of grey (at least) LOL

So lemme know if I’m missing something here. My guess is DE says, “Maybe next time,” because he’s expecting — or hoping — for something to happen when he kills Coma Charlie. Do we know what he’s expecting? Did Coma Charlie have anything to do with Andrus, or was he just DE’s latest victim? If Coma Charlie was just another victim, would that hint at a deeper reason for DE’s murder spree (other than being a total douche)? Is he killing all these Charlie’s because he’s looking for a specific one that will cause something to happen upon his death?

    Huh?

I can tell you what I intended… and how it shook out is up to you fine folks. I intended Coma Charlie to be a Charlie that DE just knew about and was waiting to kill because he wasn’t going anywhere.

He had to convalesce a little, as he was wounded, and that got him nostalgic, so he basically tells the guy the story in the hopes that, somewhere in his subconscious, he can do what Andrus did.

There IS another layer to that. Dark Everett IS looking for a specific, unmentioned thing. But you won’t hear about that until late in year three, or early year four (I’m still mapping the beats as I prepare to write the latter half of year three).

His stated reason for killing Charlies is that they were meant to die (thusfar). There are deeper levels to that, but I haven’t given you anything that’ll help you uncork that yet in terms of his rationale. But I will.

And dear god, is he one sad son of a bitch for a reason.

Yeah, typing on a mobile device leads to typos. 🙂

OK, there is an aspect of this (as it appears so far) I’m curious about…

Andrus discovered his ability by accident when he attempted suicide the first time, so even though he was trying to die, he was conscious when it occurred and when he uses it (obviously), so unless (assumed/presumed) DE has tried to kill Andrus in his sleep (for solely research purposes I am sure 😉 ), shooting at an unconscious Charlie in hopes of finding another neo-Andrus would be like a broken pencil: pointless 😉

But as we’ve been told that Lord BaileyMort has access to mystic books and of course the Necronomicon in his research for writing this saga, I am sure that a couple years from now we’ll look back on this and go “duh!” LOL

I wonder what would happen if someone tried to give the Dark Everett a hug and a cupcake.

That person would probably get a bullet to the head, but it’s worth a shot, right?

He’s only shoot them if the cupcakes were described as fragrantly wonderful.

Your intentions were how I initially interpreted it. I think I was just looking for some connection between Coma and Andrus, and when I didn’t see it I thought I missed something.

Does this have anything to do with that girl who either Prime and Leo or Leo and Charlene slept with? 😉

Cindy is one factor among many, yes.

Really enjoyed hearing DE wistfully talk about his past. Can’t wait for more Tales from DE.

Inferring from the medium-sized reveal above, I figure we’re a while from the next episode of “Dark Everett: Confidential” 😉

I was thinking more about comparisons between Andrus and Squirt today, since it seems that Squirt may have an ability similar to that of Andrus–i.e., the ability to travel without a translocator.

The main difference between Andrus and Squirt is that while Andrus can only go backwards in time, Squirt brought himself forward (if the assumption that he can travel through time like Andrus is correct).

Another major difference is while Andrus is almost childlike in his desire to dress up and play pretend as a sheriff or pirate, Squirt wants to take a more adult role as a full member of Cura.

Anyway, this line of thinking led me to the theory that Squirt is the key to solve the mystery of Andrus.

And that, Guys and Dolls, is why I <3 this woman LOL

Got so wrapped up in the somewhat warm and fuzzy DE, completely lost the thread because we've seen the Scoobies maybe once or twice so far this year while we've been plumbing the back pages of the other side of the coin for a while….not a complaint, I know the rollercoaster's about to fly off the tracks again on Monday, since Billy's still sick and the Scoobs have not hide nor hair of an idea of WTF to do now…Chaos reigns and entropy is riding shotgun LOL

(crash recap sponsored by Massive Dynamics, a subsidiary of Skynet 😉 )
