Presume an explanation/clarification of just what the flock happened is forthcoming, since I don’t think spontaneous portal implosion has ever occurred before….or was this somehow engineered by DE as a way of making the random Charlies do the work for him? Spoiler: The Doctor is going to end up finding the Alaska just after the Weeping Angels are vanquished in NYC (and Amy & Rory make their goodbyes), but before the crash, so Oswin will be his new companion…of course that will completely undo the destruction of the Asylum of the Daleks (which also means they will remember him again 🙁 ), but when has the Doctor actually ever stopped the Daleks? Even the Time War (shut off from reality in it’s own chronobubble) is unable to remove the Daleks from reality…sorry for the crosstalk, but I felt the need to expound on this LOL
I figured it would be something like that. Also, I’m just glad that Moffat decided “Oh, hey. All that crazy-ass shit Amy and Rory went through last season would have an impact on their relationship, wouldn’t it?”
Mind you, the spoiler above is part known variables and part guessing game…I assume Oswin will be the new companion because I can’t see Moffat introducing such a dynamic character (even if she ended up being a Dalek in the end, which I started to suspect about halfway through Asylum, especially the fact she somehow ‘hacked’ the Dalek hivemind) for no good reason, and c’mon, she’s cute as all out and she seems to have a knack for elbowing the Doctor LOL
I have to rewatch S6 to clarify, but do Amy and Rory *know* River Song is their daughter? Amy’s comment that she could never bear Rory a child would seem contraindicatory of that fact 😉

I liked that it was such a realistic consequence as well. The conversation between Amy and Rory was very well done.
I’ll miss Karen and Arthur when they go but I’m looking forward to seeing what Jenna Louise Coleman brings to the mix.
