Also, in my head, the Dark Everett totally has an anchor on this playground, and he takes Junior here when they need fresh air. Andrus packs a picnic lunch, making sure to cut the crusts off the sandwiches for Junior. And Captain just sits there, cleaning his pistols and wondering what the fuck kind of supervillain group he joined up with.
Great page Dex. I’m really liking the calm before the storm feel that the last few pages have had. I really like though how character is informing it all though. Love some quality character development. Keep up the good work guys.
Based on what we’ve seen of Charlene, I wonder just what it is about Prime that makes her this sympathetic to him….seems like she’d like to shoot Leo (in a non-lethal spot LOL) half the time….maybe it was that interlude on NakedSexFuckWorld where they got down to brass tacks (and bare skin) trying to find Squirt? 😉
I don’t know–Charlene and Leo seem pretty close. They’re like a brother and sister who tease each other a lot. I think despite Charlene’s hard exterior, she’s more sympathetic than people give her credit for. I think a big part of her character is her desire to keep the team together and in one piece–which is why she punches Prime when he portals them out of that first fight with the Dark Everett, and which is why she gives that “Nut the fuck up” speech when the team debates whether or not to keep Prime around.
I think if any team member were on the verge of a complete breakdown she would do the same for them.

Yes, Prime. If you have sex with her it is still technically masturbation, in a manner of speaking. It will produce deformed incest-babies though.
