They probably just relish the opportunity to get their hands on technology from other universes. I’d probably shut my mouth if I got to tinker around with some super-advanced mystery technology. They can’t lack curiosity, otherwise they wouldn’t be engineers capable of reverse-engineering alternate universe technology in the first place: lack of curiosity makes for pretty poor scientists.
