And now it all makes sense…

Well..the whole “speak no evil” part does, at least.

Also, after reading the title, I couldn’t help but see the DE spinning his revolver around a la Fozzie with the rubber chicken.

LOL. It still doesn’t beat “Raze Anchor, Captain.” That’s one of my favorite lines of the story.

That is some rather epic wordplay.

…and now we just have to wonder if the Charlies will get there in time…

Course they will. Particularly if DE stays in monologue mode.

Oooh, I thought it was going to be Billie, or some variant. This is an interesting surprise.

And yet, all I can picture is DE as Pac-man. Dammit, title!

Words cannot express how much I love this comment right here. That’s one cracked-up mental image.

        The Game: Dark Pac-erett

Our no-hero – head of Dark Everett

our “ghosts” – frightened Charlie heads

Bullets, not dots, and instead of power-ups, we have nuclear weapons

No maze, just a random background

Charlies try to keep DP away from the nuclear weapons, but he can shoot them with the bullets he picks up, but they always replenish, while DP is mostly invincible, but occasionally he can be shot back at (especially is a ‘Squirt’ Charlie appears 😉 )

I do believe I see your cracked-up mental image and raise you a full-blown hallucination LOL

See, I always saw Pac-Man as Bocca Bocca Bocca, and Fozzie as Wokka Wokka Wokka… but that’s just because when a crackhead made me gave him a ride across Tacoma five years ago (true story) he called Bocca Bocca Bocca “that Pac-Man/System of a Down shit.”

The Dark Everett Pac-Man, however, would certainly be able to explain how he can walk out the left side of the board and come in the right, whereas the real Pac-Man cannot!

That sounds like an awesome story.

There is a comic about it… heh. It’s older work, though.

No, DE, you don’t kill *you*, you kill them, if you killed YOU, we’d have a better world 🙂

New addition to the theories-that-probably-don’t-hold-water department: Way back in “(35) Dark Everett,” DE ripped the heart out of Suspect Charlie’s chest. But the way the heart is drawn, you could easily say that it’s actually Suspect’s tongue. The blood on Suspect’s shirt and the “How is your heart” comment could’ve just been red herrings to throw us off the scent. Are Coma Charlie and Suspect Charlie the same Charlie?!

No? Okay. I’m going to bed

Love the theory, but nope! Two different Charlies. It was his heart on 35.

Okay, so we’ve got “Smell No Evil,” “Speak No Evil,” and I guess Suspect Charlie is…”Circulate no evil”?

Got here from the comment thread in a io9 article on quantum suicide, though it took me awhile to get around to reading.

One reason that quantum suicide wouldn’t work in real life though, is that it’s impossible to devise something that will always kill you without the possibility of it leaving you various degrees of alive but badly injured. So, I was wondering when we’d see a Charlie that tried to kill himself and survived the attempt. And of course lots of suicides fail, so this was coming.
