“Don’t talk to me like that. You’re not our father. You don’t know me.”

Dark Everett, the comic already has one teenager.

With a prosthetic nose, could the undertaker be the older Dark Everett who’s reached if not enlightenment at least understanding?

An interesting thought… wouldn’t the Dark Everett notice, though? Heh. In the coming pages, you’ll get a hint as to the Undertaker’s origin. Watch the Terror Lightning closely.

Does this mean that Undertaker might be an older version of Squirt? I just had an epiphany.

There can be multiple anchor universes, because multiple universes. What if the anchor universe is always a universe with a version of Squirt? Squirt spontaneously teleports around, and he’s very, very young, so he leaves a hole in his universe where a Charlie should be, because he doesn’t get to be old enough to be another Charlie, because he’s a Squirt, if that makes sense.

Nature abhors a vacuum, so any universe with a Squirt opens itself up to the existence he is and should become, so all Charlies can find it, because it’s waiting for Squirt. But by the nature of his power, or the bad luck of being a Charlie, even a young one, Squirt can never find his OWN universe and fill the hole he left behind, because he can’t control his power.

That said, I think the new Squirt may be the Squirt from the anchor universe we know, or he may not be. Oh, I almost forgot Billie. I think Billie doesn’t leave a hole in his universe when he gets dragged off because he has cancer and will never live to become a proper, adult, suicidal Charlie.

The Anchor U. does have a special property… it is not, however, I can say without spoilage, a function of Squirt’s presence. Though Squirt’s presence, being oblique, is something to take note of. (Wait for Wednesday for clues on that).

LOVE these ideas, though. I’m so glad folks want to speculate. I, of course, can’t give away the game, but there’s such joy in reading this for me, that you care enough to speculate.

“New Squirt” and Squirt are the crux of something major we will only begin to get hints at in this finale of the third trade, but man, oh, man, what Dex did with that finale. Wait and see!

Okay, I just read the story upto this point. My first instinct when they mentioned a naming convention was to call “Charlie Prime” Sad Charlie. When I read this page I nearly did one of my Fangirl “I KNEW IIIT!” Squeals. … But I didn’t because every one in the neighborhood would have been awakened, and it’s 3:26 A.M.
